    The product quality seems very good and exceeded my expectations.

    The only downside is that it cannot be charged with a pd (power delivery) adapter; you have to use the included usb-a cable to supply power.

    I suspect this is because it doesn’t support fast charging, which is likely why charging doesn’t initiate [when using a pd adapter].

    Absolutely love this thing. Just a helpful tip for those that get the 256 version. It sounds silly but don’t forget to insert it! It comes with one 64gb in it, with an empty slot so just pop the other one in as well and, boom!

    I had the rg35xxh before this and loved it though it was a little small for my hands. That is not the case with this (though it could use some ergonomics on the back side so the bumpers arent at such an acute angle. That aside the shell is sturdy and feels good in the hands. The screen is bright a hell. I have kept it at 33% since day 1. It can handle up n64 like it was made for it….. psx games throw it a challenge but as long as it isnt an intense game it will shrug it off. Ds games are a nightmare without 2 screens and ps2 and above are a no go. A huge bonus on the 40xxh over the 35xxh is that the 40 has a more mounded edge to its d-pad. The 35 has a very sharp d-pad. Other than the larger screen and the d-pad (and appearance changes) the rg35xxh and the rg40xxh are the same handheld. Get the rg40xxh.

    Several games in duplicate or even triple.
    Disappointed, out of 10,000 games not a single Mario or Pokemon.
    Practically no NDS games and a poor NDS emulator.

    Great device, good premium feels, great controls. Not very pocketable because they have protruding triggers. The h700 chip can play up to n64, dreamcast and psp. Only comes with 6k games though and zero nintendo titles so you’ll have to put the nintendo games on yourself if you want those. Overall it’s a great device, the screen is very vibrant and colorful. I like a really colorful over-saturated screen and this prolly has the most colorful screen of any of the handhelds, it’s very close to the trimui smart pro in that respect.

    Unit came in good condition, all buttons worked on first use, charged normally to 100% in around an hour with the included cable. So far no issues. The operating system also has satisfying sound effects and when you shut down it sends you off with a winking emoji. (don’t forget to make provisions in case the included micro sd card fails, as the device cannot function without its operating system)

    I only had it since yesterday so i can’t comment on durability or quality long term. What i can say though is this device is amazing! All my favourite games play flawlessly from re1 on psone to god of war on psp or crazy taxi or ikaruga on dc. The naomi emulator is incredible and the vintage arcade games work like a charm. For the price i paid (around 50€ using coupons with a 128gb card) it’s an absolute bargain.

I was about to open a return when i found out they not shipped me an os microsd card with the device. The 256gb was just games no os. It needs a second card with the anbernic os/fiirmware on it. I had to buy a microsd card and flash the file from their site. The review is for that. The device is all good.

    I bought it again, I already had one that doesn’t turn on anymore after a pair of scissors fell from a shelf and killed it. I sold an RG35xxH, it’s also very good but the 40xx is superior. I thought about trying the Trimui, but it doesn’t connect to the monitor. Besides, I already know that analogs are better for ports, this screen is a spectacle. I really liked the store. They were very quick to ship. I can’t believe it arrived in 1 week and the best part was the price. I paid 360 for one console worth 500 reais, my little money has never been so valuable. I will remember the name of the store, and I will definitely come back to shop again. I tested all the buttons, placed the system that I had already separated on another card.     Of the best purchases of my life, I didn’t know that I needed a handled console so much until now that I have it, it works super well with the stock system, in the future we will put it in knully but with the base firmware it works at 100. The games are very well set to work correctly, even those from PSP.
    It’s worth buying it with the smallest number of games, the selection is very good.
    We lost Zelda and Mario Bros titles, but we have quality and quantity for months for the rest. I have been dealing with this for 2 weeks and have not used the 2nd micro SD slot.

    Only the sticks feel «bad» but I think it’s because of the route, it’s very short, many times I prefer to play with the pad.
    The screen is the largest in RG and still feels small in bullet hell or run n gun games.

    This is a great device, works better than i expected! Works out of the box with the baseline os, and all the controls handle very well, enough to handle super mario world without issue.

    Connects via usb-c/otg to several controllers for 2nd player. Tested 8bitdo controllers and ps5, all worked. Mini-hdmi to hdmi cable let us play «wired» to the tv for a bigger screen. Charges over usb-c just fine.

I was planning to return the device, but i saw on the internet this was a common defect for this device. After opening it up and re-seating and connecting the ribbon cables, it started to work.     The handfeel of this is great. I love all the the buttons with the exception of the shoulder buttons (the clickyness is way too loud for me, personally.) But i’m mostly playing the older games that don’t use shoulder buttons. If i was looking to do mostly psx i might have been a bit disappointed.) I absolutely love the analog sticks, was shocked to find myself using it on some 2d games. Even the included os is nice. Usually a customize them, but i may keep it as is.

    Screen is great, brightness is great for outdoor use. Really happy with this purchase.

    It arrived perfectly! Well protected and I also bought a very nice and exact protector from them. It took 18 days to arrive here in Peru. The delivery process is the one that took the longest. I tried it and everything works correctly. I was afraid because several comments said that the screen, buttons, or something had arrived damaged. But everything is correct here. I loved it. Another negative point is that they have removed several ports and Pokémon games, so it will be a mission to find them one by one. The memory is also light blue but they no longer have the Kioxia name so it’s possible it’s of poor quality, make a backup copy. Anything, I will write again to share how I’m doing with it.
